Technology Cooking Day 1 Reflection



Today I am going to be talking about my reflection at tamaki collage. Today we swapped with graphics and we went to the cooking class with Mrs Tuipulotu. She was our cooking teacher and she teaches us what it means by Food Technology. The word 'Food Technology' is about how to cook something like preparing a recipe for the customers. We talked about the safety reason if their is a fire that is happening in every stove in every section. If their is a small fire then Mrs Tuipulotu would the fire extinguisher, If their is a medium fire then she would use a fire blanket to get rid of it easily and it will go away. If their is a large fire then she would use the fire alarm to make sure that all of the student would go outside the gates where it will be safe to stay away from the fire. After the safety of the rules in the cooking class and what it means by Food Technology. Mrs Tuipulotu told us to get into our three groups or four groups so that we know how to make a Milkshake Smoothie. The ingredients we needed was 
x1 Big large gallon of milk or canteen
x1  Row of packed Oreos
x1 Whip Cream and
x1 Chocolate syrup.
First we put 2 cups of milk into a bowl then after that we first have to get a blender and put the oreos into the blender. Get the 2 cups of milk and put it into your blender where the oreos have placed. Plug in your blender and make sure you hold the top of the blender so that the blender won't wiggle around but it will stay straight and it will move. Make sure to keep it blending for 3 minutes and make sure that it is not thick. Get your cups ready and pour your milkshake into the cup. Spray some Whip Cream on top and put some chocolate syrup around your whip cream a bit and you may serve it with your friends and also your family. I hope this will help you make a milkshake smoothie with oreos.

Going Shopping Reflection


On Sunday, I went shopping with my Mom to buy me some rugby boots to play with on the rugby Tournament. I was so excited to have my first rugby boots for are very long time and I wanted to wear these Rugby Boots for the Rugby Tournament. The boots were metal and rubber with two rubber spikes at the back and one on the front. Then my mom buyed me a mouthguard just in case that I won't break my teeth when I get tackled. I also got me a rugby ball to practice my pass's and my agility and also standing in which position on the Field. My rugby boots are named as the Adidas Kakari sg with the colour green. The type of this boots are for speed because I wanted to make sure that some of the shoes are metal and has rubber from the back foot to the front foot.

My Weekend Reflection 2017

Today I am going to be talking about my Weekend reflection to you guys. What I did in the Weekend is that I went online to play with my friends on my PS4 so that I can show the school values to my friends that I talk to. Then after that I got ready with my mom and went to the swimming pools to have a BBQ at the panmure pools. I was so excited to have a BBQ at the pools. My aunty and my uncle came along in the BBQ and I showing them by showing positive relationships to each other and also showing the school the values. I got me some togs to swim and also one of my cousins came to my family BBQ to have some fun and to go for a swim in the pools. Some of the adults of my family brought sausages, Meat Patties, Crab meat and some drinks and water. They were hungry and they liked how some of the family brought some food to the stove so that when we finishing swimming in the pools, We can get out of the pool and get our food ready to eat. We spend their eating together as a family because we were showing Peace and positive relationship to each and everyone of the family. After we finish our BBQ with our family. Me and my mom went home to get some sleep because we were tired. When I was sleeping I dreaming about me, My mom and also my aunties eating our bbq food at pools and I was happy and excited to be spending time at the pools.

Me and My Ancestors reflection

This is a picture of all the Ideas that I have done on paper. This work was about me and my ancestors because I wanted to write about who are my ancestors are. What I wrote on my paper is identify who I am and also my ancestors. What I have put up is what culture I am which that I am Half Tongan and Half Cook Island. The reason why my culture is like that is because my parents is Half-Caste. Half-Caste is that a mum cook island and a dad is Tongan but does not fit the same of the DNA and that is why I am a Half-Cook Island and Half-Tongan.

Hip hop Reflection Day 4

On Tuesday, We had Hip hop for kiwisport. We get to teach new things about hip hop and practicing with dance moves. Our Kiwisport teacher was teaching that same moves that we did from before so that we know what the dance moves are. But our teacher told us to get into groups and we had to try and perform a dance with moves that we were taught by our teacher. The first in our group that we did was the james brown move with our legs and then after we do the Smurf dance in order so that we can practice in front of the students. What found me challenging is that I didn't know what move to choose because I was thinking of a move before practicing it. But then I learned the move from what our teacher told us these type of moves. So I chose one of the dance moves to do with my group and also I helped my group perform these moves by doing the move that I was taught by our teacher to do.

Poetry Writing about myself



Identify who you are - I am a Half Tongan and Half Cook Island. I have 4 parents. My family are nice and respectful for who I am and also proud. I have a grandma and a grandpa. My grandma had 10 kids and they became as my Aunties.
What makes you proud to be who you are?
  • By helping my family to make sure if they need help
  • By doing the right thing even when no one is looking
What decisions did your tupuna (ancestors) make to make you the person you are?

Paint a picture of the past using your five senses:  e.g. hearing the beat of drums or the scraping the coconut with the hakalo (Tongan tool for coconut scraping).
Seeing/Viewing - Mangaia was a place where everything had started.
Feeling - I was born in a interesting place where it made me felt happy  
Tasting - A taste of sweetness and colour fruits from trees like a palm tree.
Smelling - Like a parade with lots of different types of foods and chanting.

Feeling the weight of the water as the paddle moves through it - as your ancestors make their way to a new land...
Look into your future - where will you be, and will your ancestors be happy you are there? What do your ancestors mean to you as you move into your own pathway?

This is a document of my Poetry Writing. What I have put up is about me telling me who I am and what makes me proud?. On the what makes me proud section, I have put up the things that make me proud by helping my family to make sure if they need help and also by doing the right thing even when no one is looking

What found me challenging is that I didn't know who I am from when I was born because I was a Half cook island and Half Tongan and also I didn't know my name but now I know that who I am and also I know what culture I am.

The reason why the author used this song is because it’s to help people understand What it mean’s by helping them and it will change the way they affect to others.


What do you think of the message of this video is?
In the video, The message was that the boy was helping others around because he isshowing the right thing to each and everyone he meets and also it’s to understand people to try and do the right thing even if no one is looking. The reason why is to build more relationship to each other and also using the time achieve.


How did watching this video make your feel?
From watching this video, I thought that the video was said because some people are sometimes get bullied from school and they were scared to come to school because they were bullied, But then after watching all of it I feel happy because how the person was helping the boy that was bullied help him because the helper felt sad for him.  

This is a Document of my complete work about Paying it forward. The reason why because it to help people showing respect when others aren't looking and also showing peace. By doing this I know when to show the school values and respecting each other.

What I have found challenging is that when I feel like the video was sad because it shown all the situation that people have gotten into but now I now that this video would help them show the right thing even when no one is looking.

Fitness Reflection Day 5

Today we had fitness at the netball courts for the Cross Country Challenging. But this time we had to film a video of us running because we had a manaiakalani Film festival coming up and we wanted to film a video about fitness and how they liked about it. So we went to our starting point where we also start and after that we started running. I was looking for the camera person to film the video while running when everyone else is running. I was taking my time running to the finish line where we start our run at the starting point. So I keep on running so that I can lose some of my weight and also be able to make it to the end. I took a few breaths because I ran to much and it wasted my energy but instead I made and I also never gave up. I saw the other runners coming back to the finish and I showed respect to them by doing the thing even when no one is looking. Then my friend Sifa came and took a video of the kids asking the question 'On a scale of 1 - 10 how do you feel your fitness improving'. Some say 8 and others say 6 but they were part of the Manaiakalani video and also they were showing the school values because they were participating in the Manaiakalani film.

Learning with 'Constable Taina'

On Wednesday  we had a police officer named 'Constable Taina'. She was here to talk about the Penalty's that are for the judge to decide. The penalty's are 'Community service'. Community Service is a different to being committed for what you have done but this is different. The judge will decide for the victim to do community service because he only done a little bit of stealing, Robbing and different kind of bad stuff. CS (Community Service) can lead up to 20 hours for working before getting out. The second penalty is Diversion and this penalty is when you did something at school like fighting or using drugs, The person might get his 1 chance of making it right and even if you stole or gambling. This makes the judge to give that person another chance and if he does it again then he will get committed. When they arrest the person that is doing something then they will get a list of criminal records to see if they either get committed or not. If they do then their life will be over, Some jobs won't allow people that are committed on the criminal record because some jobs might check for their criminal record to see if they have a suspicious person.

Fitness Reflection Cross country Day 4

IALT: Write a reflection about the Cross country at our school.
Yesterday we had fitness down at the course. It was our fourth Cross country challenge so we went to the netball courts, Then after that we were told to get into our lines and then we go to the starting point. I was really excited to do the cross country challenge so that I would be able to lose weight and gain some trust to my friends when I am running. When our Room 9 teacher Mrs Komor said '3 , 2 , 1'. We started running and when the first person to past the three poles then Mrs Komor would start to run or walk until we get to the end. For me, Doing the cross country would also help me build up more energy into my body also taking the time to try and take my time even when everyone is running. What it made me found about this cross country is that I fought that Cross country is like you are crossing the country on a plane but now I know that Cross Country is different to fitness which means you run with a group of people sometimes around the block or straight ahead. What made me found challenging is that my feet was sore because I running to much but then I know that I would have to take my time to jog it out and just make sure that I won't give up.

KIWICAN Reflection: Our topic is SELF-CONTROL

WALT: Reflect on what we did at KIWICAN

On Tuesday, We had Kiwi can at the hall. For kiwi can we were learning about Self - control. Self control is about Controlling yourself and also controlling your emotions. To show that what it means to be SELF - CONTROL. We played some games that helps us with our topic for today and also showing the school values. The first game was Dodgeball. In this game their will be a number from 1 to 5 or more. Then when they pick a number then they have to stand on the middle and trying to dodge the ball. But the one's that are not numbered have to sit down and either roll or hitting it with your hand will get your opponents out. This game was fun for me because they were showing Manaakitanga and Whanaungatanga. And also they were giving their best at the game and I was really excited of it. What found me challenging was that I got out but I was able to control myself from either crying or angry but yeah I was just happy that got me out

Maths Reflection T3W5


IALT: Write a reflection Maths that I did by doing the task

Today, I have been doing some maths lately and I wanted to show to you what I have done or completed in Maths. 

This is a task of all the question and how it is made to increase my thinking and by only using Multiplication and Division. The word problem for today was "Baker Bob tarts, Biscuits and muffins. This is what he has for sale when he opens his shop on tuesday morning'. The tarts has 12 for a $1 each, 24 Biscuits for $1 each, 12 muffins for $2 each. The first question to this answer is 'How many tarts, Biscuits and muffins has he baked altogether?'. So what I have done is that I have drawn 4 groups of 3 to make 12, Then I drawn 8 groups of 3 to make 24 and after that I drawn 4 groups of 3 to make 12 again. Then after that I equally them by only using Multiplication and Division. For tarts, I written 4 x 3 = 12 and then after that I divided that number by using 12 / (divided by) 3 which equals 4 because 4 x 3 is 12 and same as goes for 3 x 8 equals 24 and 24 / 3 = 8 for Biscuits, And also the same for the tarts because the muffins has the same as the tarts.

Maths Reflection




IALT: Reflect on how I worked it out with this question.

I am going to be reflecting on about how I worked out this question using my strategies to figure out the answer. This was my question, 'Emily bought 12 packets of hair ties. There were 4 hair ties in each packet. emily, Millee, and Sam all worked out the total number of hair ties differently'. And one of these strategies will have the right answer for this word problem. The first one was Emily's strategy. 'I know that 12 x 2 is 24. So 12 x 4 is double 24. 12 x 4 = 48'. Next is Millee strategy. 12 x 4 = 4 x 12 4 x 12 = (4 x 10) + (4 x 2) = 40 + 8 = 48. And the last strategy is Sam's. '12 x 4 = 4 x 12 = (5 x 12) - 12. 5 x 12 = (5 x 10) + (5 x 2) = 50 + 10 = 60. 12 x 4 = 60 - 12 = 48. One of the best strategy that I liked is Millee strategy. The reason why is because he/she is using times table to answer it in a different way than using Addition and Takeaways. And also using a bracket to solve the answer faster.

Cybersmart reflection



IALT: Write a reflection about our Cybersmart Map.

Today I am going to be talking about my cybersmart map. This is a map the things on my history computer that I have went to sense the time I went on those websites. On my map I start from my google presentation. The yellow picture means that I have been doing some of my work on a Google Presentation. Then after that I went to Google searching about the things that I want for my work. After google I went to Google Drawing where I started a work with a template on it. The after Drawing, I go to Google Document and then after that I go to youtube where I search up a video of my work and then after that it will end on Google drive where I check my work to see what I have not completed. The reason why I have created a map of what I went on with my computer is because to check my history to see if I have been on the right website if not. This was for our cybersmart work so that When we create a map like I did. It will tell us when did you start and when did you finish at the end.

My Own DLO of a Padlet

IALT:Create my own Dream of what I want to be in a DLO or a Padlet.

Today I had created myself a Padlet, The reason why I have created this is because is because I had written my self with a sheet of all the things about me and what my work will be or a dream.
This is the picture of a sheet that I did with Room 10 and my class Room 9. What I have written on it was about me. Then after that I had written the things of people that look up to me, I had put my family in it because so that they will support me when I am at work playing Basketball on training or on a Basketball game. Then after that I have written the Important things in my life will be is being able to work hard in my learning so that I can get a better education and able for me to go to collage and learning some advanced work. The next section is about my work which is becoming a Basketball player and the reason why I want to become a basketball player is because I want to be like Steven Adams and being able to play a center Position.

Technology Reflection

IALT: To reflect on Technology

This week on Thursday, We had our Technology at Tamaki Collage. At Tamaki Collage we were going their for our technology. My group went to the graphics room with Mrs Ferguson. We were finishing off our clocks for our family to bring so that it looks like a real clock. People were doing the painting part so that they can design their clocks for their parents. Some of my friends were painting a bull shape, Shield shape and others with decorations. I painted myself a cook island flag with the stars white and the whole background blue. But first I finished drawing my work shape that I have to do and then after that I gave to our Graphic teacher for scanning the shape, Then after that, Mrs Ferguson put me and friend perenara paper of our shapes into another scanner where she places all of the shapes into a square box and then she puts a flat smooth wood onto a cutting machine but with a laser so that it can cut easily. Then after when it finished. I then had got a back one and a front clock so that when we paint our clocks. We would put our attachments into our clocks and it would look like a clock.

Dream of What I want to Be

WALT: Write about our Dreams of what we I want to be.

Today, Mrs Aireen told us about what is career. Career is something that people would find a job that is helpful for them. It depends on the paycheck when sometimes jobs have a lot of paycheck because they are expensive but bigger paycheck. That is why Miss Arieen teach about What is Career?. This is a presentation about our dreams of what we want to be. I chose 3 of my work that I have chose for myself. My first one is basketball and the reason why I chose my favorite sport to play is basketball is because I want to be a Center position just like the New Zealander NBA Player Steven Adams. My second dream is a undercover person. So when I know that their someone that is doing something dangerous, Then I would call the police and to make sure no one gets hurt. My next is my dream. My dream for me is to become a Businessmen. The reason why I want to be a businessmen is because so that I can look after my family by showing the school values and supporting my family for what I have achieved. This is will help me in the future so when I forget what I want to be then I can choose from one of these dreams that I want to be.

Kiwisport Day 2

WALT: Write a Reflection about Day 2 Kiwisport.
On Day 2, Today we had hip hop for Kiwi sport. We were reflecting on the Hip hop brainstorm and their were 4 elements that are connected to Hip hop dance or Artist. 

The first one is rap and rap is like writing a song of what you wanted to name and making a rhythm out of it. The second element is DJ and DJ has been one of the most popular music instrument but with equipment. The DJ was started in around the 1970's. The third element is Break dancing. Break dancing is different to Hip Hop but doing it on the streets. Break dancing started in america at New York in 1973 where people would enjoy dancing by doing any other type of their moves that they have got. The last one is Art/Graffiti. People were doing some artist like Graffiti in the 1967 and some of the people liked doing Graffiti but sometimes others didn't want some of the art to be put on buildings. That is the four elements of hip hop, The second Reflection is the dance moves. Our kiwi sport teacher teach us the same dance moves but with new moves. The new dance moves are 'The Janet Jackson' dance and 'The Alf' dance. So our teacher teached us these moves and doing the recent dance moves that we did last Monday. We did the dance in order. 'Smurf' dance 1x, 'James Brown' dance 1x, 'Janet Jackson' dance 1x and 'The Alf dance' 1x. After we practice these moves in order, We get in a circle and we started to do some freestyle moves. What it means by Freestyle is that you can do any moves that comes up in your mind.

Timeus - New for Fitness

IALT: Write a Reflection about our New Exercise for Fitness.

On Monday, Room 9 and Room 10 were at the Netball courts at school for fitness. All of the students were lining up in our three groups so that we can go and do our exercise. But miss changed it up, The whole class of Room 9 and 10 had to run around the school and back to where we started fitness. So me and the rest of the classes lined up on the other entrance to the school. When miss said 3,2,1, GO. We ran and we turn left on the foot path. When I was running, Some of the people were showing resilience. Resilience means that people were not giving up and also they were trying their best of giving their time to finish at the end. What it made me found challenging when I was running was that I had to walk because I was too tired to run but I had never give up and I had tried my best to jog it out and just keep on running to the end. When we reached the other school entrance. We had to jog or run straight where along their is a green fence. So we run straight through them and I tried my best to not give up. I some how slowed down because one of my friends were kind of tired so I had help my friend to show the school values. When we got to the end, I was so tired that I had ran out of energy but I had done my very own best.

Timeus - Doing the right thing Online

This is a google drawing of what I did by myself, This task was for my cybersmart learning. The reason why I am posting this blog post is because some people are writing bad comments to each other and showing no good behavior to other. To that I had put down the things that will help people to understand what it means by this Google Drawing. So before you do something online then you must read this before you post online and that will make people sure that they will do the right thing even when no one is looking. In my google drawing, I have put a person going online. This shows that this person is posting something online that show's nice a kindness post's to make people happier. And another image that I had put up is a another person thinking about something that he should write to his friend. This will help people to think about something that he could write to his friend about what he did in the weekend.

Timeus - New Kiwi Sport 'Hip Hop Dance'

IALT: Write a reflection about our New Kiwi Sport

On Monday, We had our New Kiwi Sport and it was 'hip hop'. Hip hop is like famous people are making music by using hip hop sounds for their music but sometimes hip hop can lead to dancing. Our new Kiwi Sport teacher was a lady that she came from the UK but sound a bit like a New Zealander. She teach us about the 4 ways of Hip Hop dancing. The 4 hip hop dancing are Break Dancing, Rap and the two other groups. We also learned the James brown dance which you can check it out on youtube of what it is by this dance. The next one we have is the smurf dance but not like in the cartoon. Our teacher told us to get into a line and we practice dancing with these dancing moves so that when our teacher plays the music then our teacher would do the moves and we have to follow it. Some of the people were showing resilience because they were not giving up and also they were trying their best and also my friends that gave their best. What found challenging for me was that the most difficult move that I have gave my best was the James Brown Move. It was hard for Me but I gave it all that I have got and I also never give up.

Timeus - Cook Island Tivaevae with Room 3 Buddies


IALT: Write a reflection about our Cook Island Tivaevae with room 3.

Today Me, Room 9 and Room 3 were asked from Room 3's teacher Mrs Barlow to create a Tivaevae using either google drawing or Drawing/cutting with paper. The reason why Mrs Barlow asked us to create a Tivaevae was because it was Cook Island Language week and people were celebrating it with lot's of people. And also did you guys know that more than 62,000 Cook Islanders are living in New Zealand, I am a cook islander but half cook islander and I just came from the pacific island's and I was born in New Zealand. My buddy Garth Chose one of his favorite tivaevae that he likes and I put his favorite ones on a Google drawing and share it to their teacher when we are done. I really liked his choices because it helps to represent the cook islanders and also showing the school values to each and every one of the people in New Zealand
